HWID Ban Explained
What hardware bans are, how they differ from account bans, and what recovery options publishers describe.
An HWID ban ties enforcement to device signals rather than only a login. New accounts on the same machine may fail immediately, even after reinstalling the game client.
Account ban vs hardware ban
Account bans follow the profile, email, or platform identity. Hardware bans follow a fingerprint derived from PC identifiers. They can coexist—clearing one does not automatically clear the other.
Official recovery first
Contact the game publisher or platform support if you believe a ban was applied in error. Third-party tools
carry risk and may violate terms of service.
How this relates to spoofing products
Hardware spoofer listings are marketed to change advertised identifier behavior on supported titles. Outcomes vary by patch, Windows build, and anti-cheat updates—see what is an HWID ban for more context.
